Eline Van Audenaerde
And now, I get to help driven producers and DJs to feel confident about their next steps so that they can move the needle in dance music.
The mission of my company is to help shape the dance music community into a healthy, inclusive and positive environment for everyone who’s looking to build a life around their passion for electronic music.
My background:
I am also a published co-author of the research paper "Performers of the night: Examining the mental health of electronic music artists", published in the Journal for Psychology of Music (January 2021) and I contributed to Chapter 4 of the Global Nighttime Recovery Plan, "Sustaining Our Nightlife Scenes", which looks at case studies from around the world that focus on support models for nightlife industry workers and vulnerable populations.
I'm a little obsessed with true crime & murder documentaries and sci-fi. I love talking to animals, I have a heightened sense of smell and cannot go a day without wearing nail polish.
The minimum amount of time needed to go through the whole training and additional resources is 1.5 hours. Each lesson contains a short video of 5-10 minutes and a couple of journal prompts for you to dive into after you're done watching each video. A few additional resources have been included as well which you can go through should you want to dive deeper. You can go through the lessons at your own pace. You have lifetime access and can come back to the material at any time.
If you’re haven't been getting paid to play and you almost always feel like you can’t afford things that will take you to the next level in dance music, you’ll want to understand what influence your thoughts and beliefs about money have on your progression as a DJ/producer, because that’s actually what makes all the difference between getting paid and not getting paid. This is one of the things I help my clients with so that they don’t sell themselves short by playing for exposure or being underpaid and undervalued. Once you’re clear on your money blocks you can become confident to ask for a fee that you deserve for a gig and feel comfortable negotiating a fee too!
The training material is set up in such a way that it'll help you to change your thinking about money by prompting you to self-reflect. If you still feel like you have questions, then make sure you go through all of the material first and let it sink in. You'll be presented with next steps which will offer you
